SETI RIVER RAFTING

The seti is an excellent 2 days trip in an isolated area, where beautiful jungle, plenty of easy rapids and fantastic Himalayan scenery. The river is an excellent for beginners, intermediate, learner and family trip. The trip starts at Damauli about 6 hours’ drive from Kathmandu or 1.5 hours’ drive from Pokhara. The take out, many choose to incorporate a ride down the Trisuli with either a trip to Pokhara or to Royal Chitwan National Park Jungle Safari tours.

      Day 1KATHMANDU – DAMAULI – RAFTING.

      The first day we drive west of kathmandu early in the morning for Damauli. After the rafts are rigged, we
      set off down the Seti River, a tributary of the Saptagandaki River. We spend the whole day with in its forested canyon. In the afternoon a small but technical rapid is encountered near the village of Saranghat, inhabited by Magars, who are renowned for generation of service with Gorkha force. Sarangghat is a colorful middle hill village. The first night camp is on a spacious beach below the village. Overnight at camping.

      Day 2RAFTING – DRIVE TO KATHMANDU OR CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK

      The next day we encounter a technical rapid graded between 3 – 5 before entering the Trisuli River. After lunch you can visit a unique religious community- Davghat. Well known among the Hindus. Every year in mid-January, thousands of pilgrims visit the river and the ashram to worship. At this point where the Kaligandaki joins the Trisuli and because the Narayani River you get a choice between coming back to Kathmandu or continuing journey to visit the Royal Chitwan National Park.
